How I buy shoes on Amazon from Nigeria

There are a number of things I've purchased online online in Nigeria from the shopping giant named Amazon in the USA. Some of them includes clothes, shoes, electronics and so on.

Buying shoes is what a lot of Nigerians do from time to time as shoes can make a remarkable difference to their appearance. The kind of shoes you wear shows how fashionable you are and believe me, it's better to wear shoes that are comfortable and new rather than the ones that are problematic and old.

I'd not bought shoes for a long time and I guess the last time I did, it was from a local store in Nigeria. So, I decided at one time to also buy shoes online but not from online shopping websites in Nigeria but from a USA based website like Amazon. Amazon USA sure has quite a wide range of shoes you can choose from and there are a lot of designers listed there. You'd find a lot of cool shoes for men, women and children there.

Since I already knew my shoe size and love shoes made by Kenneth Cole, I decided to go for a Black Kenneth Cole REACTION Men's Best O The Bunch Oxford shoe which was listed for $94.95. If you don't know or are not sure of your shoe size, you should first check with an old American made shoe you have before placing your orders on Amazon from Nigeria because you may not be able to return it after is arrives Nigeria.

Since I found the shoes I was looking for, the next thing I did was to add them to my cart and proceed to make payment. Considering the fact that I was going to have them shipped internationally, I chose to buy some other items so as to reduce the shipping cost per unit. I added items to my shopping cart and chose to checkout.

One the payment page, I made payment with my Naira Mastercard and my shoes as well as other stuff were first forwarded to a US address I set up where my shipping agent would receive it on my behalf. I was also able to track my shipment online until it reaches my US address.

After Amazon has delivered my shoes and I'm notified by email, I chose to have it shipped internationally to my address in Nigeria using DHL or Fedex and it was sent and I also was able to track it online till it arrived my doorstep in Nigeria.

So, I paid for the purchase cost as well as the international shipping fee to Nigeria before I was able to get the shoes that I want from Amazon. It's not all shoes that Amazon ship directly to Nigeria but if the one you were buying was eligible for international shipping, then you'd not need a US shipping agent as Amazon will send it directly to you.

I've received all the shoes I've purchased from Amazon and it was only one that did't exactly fit me. I'm ok with the others as they are truly comfortable.

One thing noticed about buying shoes on Amazon from Nigeria is that the international shipping fee could dramatically increase the cost of the shoes you bought but you can reduce that by buying shoes in bulk rather than just a single pair unless you don't bother about the total cost.

I've seen a lot of shoes on Amazon that are really scarce or unavailable in Nigeria and so when it comes to buying quality shoes where for men or women, you are more likely to find them in Nigeria. However, before you buy them in Nigeria, it may be wise to search for them locally at online stores before making an international order since it could cost more if you are just buying small units.

As I said, there are some shoes that Amazon can send directly to your address in Nigeria after your purchase it but if there are any others that you want that they don't offer direct shipping for yet, you should just register with a US shipping company and they'd help you receive and forward your shoes to you in Nigeria after your purchase them from Amazon.

I've bought casual and office shoes from brands like Nike, Adidas, Puma, Kenneth Cole, Keds, Bostonian and so o.n. You'd find other reputable names like Cole Haan, Calvin Klein, Lacoste, Marc Fisher and others.
